I've always had this idea that as soon as I stepped off the plane in Hawaii, some cute Hawaiian lady would outfit me with a lei. That did that not happenand totally shattered my hopes and dreams.
The airport is interesting. Kind of this open concept in parts where there were no windows. Kind of neat to see. I just thought they cleaned the glass exceptionally well. We've got our bags and we're heading out to the hotel. Too bad the delay caused our flight to miss the sunset. Apparently it is absolutely stunning. Well, there is always tomorrow.
Sure enough, the AirCanada saga continued, as they apparently didn't sent the eight information for our vacation package to the hotel, so the family is split up with two of us on one floor and the other two on a complete opposite and different floor. Oh well, call AC in the morning and deal with it then. One can never really have a flawless vacation. It's like we have to have a struggle just to remind us that we need to enjoy the vacation and forget about what we let behind. One of the rooms faces directly onto a parking garage. How nice. On the upside, we'rein Hawaii, so we really can't complain too much.
The night rounded off with a buffet dinner at a local place. It was decently stocked, but sometimes you get what you pay for and it was only 10 dollars per person. We followed that up with a walk about a area around us and when we became sleepy (time change) we headed back robthw rooms to sleep the night away.
Tomorrow is a new day. Right now I sleep.
